Interviews, speeches, cameras....OH MY! No...that is not within my
comfort zone, at least not for the last 50 years or so :). As fate
would have it, an opportunity to promote my work and participate in the
cause to help our beloved "furry creatures" came about the other day.

I was chatting with a Soma TV producer Nancy Heins-Glaser at an art
exhibit where I was showing some of my work (Studio 1275 owned and
operated by great artist Marian Jones) in Fairfield, NJ and she asked
if I would be interested in participating in an interview on her monthly
show on the arts. It totally piqued my interest but....no way, no how
was I going to do it! Me, Dorothy Cucci Siclare be comfortable on
camera, not in this lifetime. My body said YES, but my mind said NO.

Then I thought about my 2012 promise to myself. I promised to face all
my fears and grow as a person and as an advocate of good causes.
So......guess what....we taped the show Thursday night and it will air
sometime soon. I "remained in the moment" (EKART TOLLE) and proceeded
with an "open heart" (OPRAH). I will let you know when it can be
viewed.

I may not cause a sensation, in fact it may very well be the least
viewed segment in the annals of Soma TV but I am so happy to have done
my part and helped promote interest in animals, shelters for animals and
in the work of another young animal artist who recently passed.
