subtleties of composing and tinting a room, which structured my present work.  I was inspired by the art of Vermeer, Ingres, Sargent, Sarolla, Chase and Cassatt.

I am drawn to diverse subjects yet always there is a commonality…something that lies between beauty and feelings. I see it in a child, in inanimate objects, in shadows. There is a certain excitement that tugs at me and when that happens I know that a painting has just been conjured up from somewhere unknown.

My style is a relaxed mixture of realism and impressionism.  My continuing studies with master contemporary artists has increased my understanding of the painting process and nudged from my existing style nuances that have enhanced and colored my work.

I live with my husband, two daughters and two cats …. painting and drawing from my studio in Millington, New Jersey.
